There is no teaching responsibilities for this role.

Due to the promotion of our current SENDCo, we are looking for our next SEND Champion! 

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly skilled teacher to lead as the SENDCo of our school. 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching, is creative and hard working with excellent communication, organisational and computer skills. This is a full time SENDCo role and there is no teaching responsibility attached.

Candidates must have the NASENCO qualification, or have an aspiration to achieve the NPQ for SENCOs when appointed. Colham Manor is an inclusive school, exuding a warmth and generosity of spirit that comes from our happy children and diverse school community. 

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who:
  • Has the ability to work as part of and lead a dynamic team.
  • Has an excellent understanding of how children with SEND learn.
  • Is able to identify and share the most effective teaching approaches for pupils with SEND.
  • Is willing to go that extra mile to give all children best possible start in life.
  • Can adeptly apply for EHCPs and funding streams.
  • Understands parent/carer concerns and can work build trusting professional relationships with families.
  • Can work with outside agencies to support children and staff.
